I've talked a lot about the fact that my eating has had to change for my fitness competition. The last month I have been working on gaining muscle/size, this means I need to eat more than I normally would and I need to eat foods that I dont always eat. What exactly does that mean though? Well....here it is....this is what I am eating today.
Meal 1: 3 Egg Whites and 1 Whole Egg (4 eggs total) 2 slices of whole wheat Ezekiel toast and 1 cup of Vegetables....I also have my coffee I use 1/4 of a teaspoon of raw sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla creamer
Meal 2: 6oz Low fat cottage cheese and 10 unsalted almonds
Meal 3: 3oz of Steak, 1/2 cup spinach, 1/2 medium baked potato... no I dont get to put butter on my potato I just use a tiny bit of salt and pepper
Workout
Meal 4: Post workout protein shake....15 grams of whey protein powder, 5 grams of l-glutamine and 1 serving bcaa's (this is all amino acids and protein to help my muscles recover)
Meal 5: 3 oz of steak, 1/2 cup spinach, 1/2 medium baked potato
Meal 6: 6oz of Chicken 1/2 cup of brown rice, medium mixed green salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
I'm also drinking about 70 oz of water a day
